Technology is a double edge sword as I frequently tell people. However, sometime and many times it could make a difference in the lives of many as I have recently discovered. I am probably a caveman when it comes to technology. It took me a long time to finally get my first smart phone. I loved it and it was quite useful for many years but it had exceeded its purpose as it began to show signs of its expiration. It was starting to have one too many brain farts and had heart attacks almost on a daily basis and during the last moments of its existence, it had heart attacks 6-8 times per day. Each time I had to do CPR by pressing down on the on button to reactivate it to life.
Sometimes I would do 3 to 5 compressions of on and off before it would revive but finally the day came when I had to bid it farewell as I return its body to his creator so that he can be renovated and revitalized with a new surge of energy and renewed life. Once its body was sent to a new owner, that person would re-animate him and direct its new reality and functions so the reincarnation or rebirth continues. LOL!
Meanwhile, I got my hands on the latest smart phone from Samsung-Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. It’s truly a piece of art and has all the bells and whistles plus more. It has a fast processor and a big memory at 32 GB but has a micro SD expansion for additional memory. The screen is huge for great viewing of videos and the camera is one of the best I have used with clear and crisp pics. Overall, it is one of the best piece of technology I have ever owned. So much power and technology in the S7 brings the owner much function and connection with the world.
After I had navigated through the technological sea and studied the uniqueness of its various technological islands which they call icons, I ventured into the birthplace of new islands at their play store- it is the birthplace of what they call apps. Adding them only added more versatility to an amazing electronic universe. What I found next has the potential to make a huge impact on the lives of many as I will discover. I downloaded an interesting app called ” Assistant” from this cyber universe. It is a personal assistant to help me in managing the S7. I was quite impressed with the voice recognition which is better than many voice systems I have used in the past. It can even give information about the weather, traffic conditions, breaking news, etc. It can even assist with placing phone calls, waking you up, reminding you events, telling jokes and even finding the nearest restaurant or coffee shop.
There are many systems like this out there but what I like especially was its ability to learn your voice and some of its custom feature. What I liked most was its ability to learn custom commands and responses. I had fun with this feature and all of a sudden, I had a vision about its implication for humanity in saving the lives of many. I thought to myself, what if a psychologist, humanitarian and I were able to work with the designers of Assistant or a similar company to develop a program to help high risk people get the help they need before they decide to end it all.
The program can offer comforting support to the individual based on their responses or commands to the assistant. For example, if the individual says he is sad, the Assistant can ask why and begin this a pre-programmed dialogue with the individual. If the program gets responses that show the individual needs more help or support, the Assistant can be programmed to ask if the individual would like to talk to a close friend and then dial the number.
If the duration of call is short, the Assistant can come back and ask to dial another close friend. If the responses need more support, the assistant can pick some inspiring songs to play, or say inspiring quotes or tell inspiring stories of those who had faced adversity but overcame it. It can even offer different health professionals services available in the individuals area. Finally if all else fails and the responses indicate the individual is truly suicidal, the program can send an alert or connection to a family member or suicide prevention hotline.
Though technology is a double edge sword, an infinite possibility of helping humanity can happen if great minds come together to use it in a productive way to truly make a difference for all. The new app can be called Assistant Blue version or keep same the same name. If anyone is truly interested in bringing this concept to reality, I am more than willing to help with the supportive responses from Assistant to help mitigate the individual in holding onto negative thoughts. The reason so many commit suicide is because they believe there is no hope and don’t realize the greatness that exist within themselves.
If only they can learn that and realize that the storm they feel is temporary and that there is help out there. My friend, Chris Folkens, award winning film director of the movie, Trigger, made his movie to help decrease suicide in the world. He has also interviewed me on camera on how we can help end suicide. The film footage will be used as one of the various initiatives to help to help suicide. I hope to be a part of more projects to protect the precious lives of many.
My friends, always remember that no matter how bad something gets, there is always someone worse off than you. Also, please realize that through changing our perceptions, we can change our reality. Know that all creatures great and small and all of creation are Divine and Great. We will never know and see the greatness within unless we give time to discover it. Love, peace and happiness is a right for all of creation. We all deserve to live out our dream and destiny. Support me with my vision and message of love, hope, compassion, enlightenment, and harmony and unity for one all for all.
Love, Blake
