The 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiros has been quite amazing to watch and read about. The greatest athletes and Olympians have all gathered in the beautiful city of Rio to finally show case what they have been training for years to perfect.
Many of the Olympians have been dreaming about being a great Olympian since they were just a child. It was so touching to watch about the childhood story of Ryan Murphy, a gold medal Olympian. He wrote a book at the age of eight about his dream of winning the Olympic and dedicated it to his mother. This week he was able to make his dream come true as he dominated the men’s 100m and 200m backstroke.
It was also so inspirational to watch Michael Phelp prove that through his determination, training and experience he could overcome his age limitation and the doubts of his dubious critics. He helped paved the way for others to bring up the bar for swimming to a whole new level. Kudos to Michael for racking up 22 Gold Medals and inspiring swimmers and athletes around the world to be their best.
Although getting the the gold medal is the goal for so many, having the bronze and silver medal are just as important and prestigious. As far as I am concerned, all those who made it to the Olympics deserves praise and accolades. As far as I am concerned all the participants are winners for all the hard work they have done and endured. The most important thing is that the Olympian does their best.
When it comes to spirituality, it is very similar with the path of an Olympian. Many of the same principles apply. The Olympic Athletes train for many years to achieve their moment of glory at the Olympics. Most if not all of them work with one or more coaches. They are disciplined and train year round. Simone Biles, gold medal Olympian, stated that she trained 365 days a year.
Many Olympians visualize their outcome, eat well and take measures to make sure their body and mind is in peak condition. In fact, they train so well that their mind is completely focused and tuned in to the event. They become mindful of the present moment then let go and become one with their mastery and training.
The important principles of an Olympian include determination, perseverance and motivation. The next is getting the best coach or trainer to get the desired goal or outcome.
With regards to spirituality, we all are given an open invitation to reach enlightenment and beyond but few respond to the invitation. Within each one of us is a spiritual Olympian awaiting to come forth. Those of us who choose to go on the spiritual path and put in the effort will be given the equal opportunity to win the spiritual gold medal. In spirituality that gold medal is liberation, freedom and consciousness/ self-realization/ awakening. Some call this new level of consciousness heaven.
When one achieves this level of consciousness, one can transcend death and Karma. However, like an Olympian it takes years of hard work, devotion, determination, perseverance and motivation. It also takes following the right path and doing the proper techniques or practices ( prayer, meditation, visualization, devotion), eating the right food and living a Divine life of full of love, gratitude, compassion and service.
Like an Olympian, one needs a coach, guide or teacher to guide one towards the path of spiritual mastery. As we all know, there are good ones and bad ones out there. Many out there claim to be spiritual teacher or guru. Many of them are New Agers who are just teaching to make a living or an extra buck. There is nothing wrong with making money and charging for spiritual teachings and guidance but there are quite a few who charge an exorbitant amount that makes one wonder if spirituality is only for the the elite and privileged.
Many of these people have read tons of books, watched tons of video and attended many workshops and now consider themselves a spiritual guru. Many of these people are just rehashing and regurgitating New Age spiritual teachings or concepts. Many of these people use marketing ploy to get their followers hooked and would be happy to have many of their followers follow them for life so they can keep seeing that paycheck come in. I had met many of these so called gurus or masters who look and dress the part. However, many of them are not tuned into the Divine Consciousness but their ego instead. They thrive on the dependence of their followers.
Many people become dependent on these so called spiritual teacher, master and guru. However, a true master will teach the individual to find the ultimate truths and answers within the individual. The spiritual master gives the tools to the individual to allow him or her to find his or her absolute truth, freedom and liberation.
There are many paths that lead to various level of consciousness. Very few paths teach comprehensively about how to achieve this liberation. Many paths teach only bits and pieces and leave the student dependent at the close of their life cycle. Such a life keeps the individual a prisoner of karma which requires the individual to repeat their earthly life course in the form of reincarnation.
The majority of seekers will find it hard to navigate through the convoluted spiritual highway. The Truth is waiting for them to discover. However, finding the proper key to unlocking the gateway to God, the Universe, the I AM Presence, Supreme Consciousness, etc. is the challenge.
The spiritual gold medal is really locked within our hearts. All true paths will lead towards unlocking the secrets within the heavenly gates within this Divine location.
Join me further in discovering the secrets to unlocking the Magic Presence within you in my second book-Beyond Imagination. This book was also Divinely inspired like the first one. The path to God is our God given right and should not cost us an arm and a leg. To love, serve and guide others to the path of God is to be Divine.
I salute every Olympic Athlete and congratulate you all in excelling in being the best athlete you could be regardless of a medal or not.
I salute all those veteran Spiritual Olympians who have been working endlessly on their spiritual mastery.
Blessed are those who surrender to the Divine Presence within for it is they who will inherit the kingdom of God and transcend death, karma and darkness.
Wishing you all infinite love and blessings,
Love,
Blake Sinclair
